f your Windows 95/98 workstations log on to a PDC with a centralized logon script (usually a Winlogon batch file), sometimes the script file isn’t processed. This is because the client is accessing the logon script file while another Windows 95/98 client is doing the same thing. The first client to access the script file takes exclusive use (the file is being read in “exclusive mode”), and any other user trying read the file is denied access while it’s in use. This is a known bug, and you’ll have to tell your Windows 95/98 users to wait a minute or two and then log on again.
